Information on Visa-Free Travel to Belarus via Minsk National Airport
Effective April 13, 2017, Visa Fees are determined based on the currency exchange rate.

Visa Requirements:

• Valid Passport Required.
  • Passport must be signed
  • Over 6 months remaining validity
  • One blank Visa page available
• 1 form: Visa Form
• 1 Photo: Photograph Requirements

• Proof of Travel:

  A letter of support (sample) from a Belarussian travel agency. This letter should be on agency’s letterhead, should state traveler will abide by rules of stay in the territory of the Republic of Belarus and stamped with their company seal.

If Traveling on Business:

• Letter of Invitation:

  An original or a copy of a letter of invitation from an agency, company or organization in the Republic of Belarus, which is registered as a legal entity by the Belarussian authorities. A letter of invitation should be printed on the official letterhead with a registration number, date of issue, and should bear the signature of an official and a corporate seal. It should also indicate the expected duration of the applicant’s stay in Belarus. An inviting party must provide written guarantees that an invitee will abide by the rules and regulations applied to foreign citizens in the Republic of Belarus.
  Citizens of the US, Canada, European Union states and some other countries, who intend to stay in the Republic of Belarus for less than 30 days do not need to provide letters of invitation. Still, the inviting person or organization and their address must be indicated on the visa application form.
  Multiple- entry long term (type D) business visa requires confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

  • Valid US Visa (ie: H1B, F1, J1, E)
  • Valid DS2019 (formerly IAP66)

If traveler is under 18: a copy of the birth certificate and copies of parents passport main information pages.

For Homestay:
Original OVIR permission–Zaprashenne.
Your relatives or friends in Belarus should obtain a Zaprashenne for you from the local authorities (OVIR) and send it to your address in the USA. In case of emergency (unexpected illness, death of relatives) visas can be obtained upon submitting a certified cable from a doctor of a Belarus clinic or a copy of death certificate.
